The Spirit of Holi

The festival begins with Holika Dahan, a bonfire that symbolizes the burning away of negativity and the triumph of good over evil. The next day, known as Rangwali Holi, is when the real fun begins — streets and parks come alive with people playing with colors, throwing water balloons, and sharing joyful moments with one another.

Even thousands of kilometers away from India, the Indian community in Slovakia continues to keep this colorful tradition alive. Each year, we organize a grand Holi celebration that welcomes everyone — Indians, Slovaks, and friends from around the world — to experience the magic of India’s most colorful festival.
